Understand the value from the customer’s perspective. Identify the value stream by product (or product family). Make the product flow. Pull the required product through to suit customer demand. Then manage to perfection.



From the analysis above the production lead-time was 28 days whilst the value added time was only 19 hours. There is the opportunity!
