Dr Mike Johnson (Principal Consultant)
Mike is a science graduate and Ph.D. His training has been in Corporate
Planning, Management Accounting and Quality Assurance. He is a corporate
member of the Institute of Business Advisors and the British Quality Foundation.
In his earlier career, he was Corporate Planning Manager of Brown and
Polson Limited, Managing Director of Sanderson International and Chairman
of four subsidiaries of Reed International plc.
Mike has worked for over twenty years as an adviser to companies in all
business sectors on financial control, business development and Quality
Assurance. He now specialises in process development, quality management
systems and in the use of the EFQM Excellence Model as an improvement
tool in organisations of all kinds.
In line with the Group’s strong links with manufacturing, Mike is
Centre Director of the Regional Centre for Manufacturing Excellence, Yorkshire
and the Humber.
