Andrew Johnston
Andy graduated in Economics at Hull University, and is a Fellow of the
Institute of Personnel Development. He has followed a progressive career
in HR, working for a succession of ‘blue-chip’ companies -
Vauxhall Motors, Granada Group, Northern Foods and the William Hill Organisation.
During this time he had direct responsibility for all HR activities including
IR, Training and Development, Manpower Planning, Organisation Development,
and led significant change initiatives.
He has worked for Hay Management Consultants and, over seven years, developed
a wide client base and supplied a full range of HR consulting.
Projects included strategy clarification, organisation design, top team
development, reward policy and implementation, job evaluation, job families,
incentive design, executive compensation, competency applications in selection,
development and efficiency improvement.
